From Monday, October 28th until Halloween, a bake sale was held in the ESAP room at Colonel Gray, hosting delightful treats to celebrate the spooky holiday season. The bake sale sold a variety of treats from cupcakes and brownies, to chips, chocolate bark, and treat bags. They sold baked goods except for the items that the cafeteria has already offered since they brought more innovative products to the school.
With the funds raised, the ESAP program hopes to invest in more tools and new technology. Jess, Mnemo, and Iman helped to sell the goods and give change back to the customers. Jess was also the main baker. Her favourite thing to make were the cupcakes. Though she faced some troubles, they were ultimately fun to bake. Which is fortunate, as the most popular item was the vanilla cupcakes with buttercream and white chocolate. Her favourite part of the bake sale was the rush of students during lunch coming to purchase the delicious treats.
The ESAP program, or Essential Skills Achievement Pathway, allows students to prepare for their future career through creative projects and activities. It is just as challenging as any other school course load, and lets students learn in a way that works for them.
Hopefully they have raised enough funds through the bake sale to continue to help students achieve their wildest dreams and make their project plans a reality. And hopefully you tried some of the delicious baked goods at the ESAP Bake Sale!
