Two Performers at Coffeehouse

On Wednesday, March 20th, the library at Colonel Gray was filled with the dynamic melodies of student bands. The Coffeehouse, organized by the librarian Mrs. Stetson, had taken a short break these past few months. But it was back just before March Break, as wonderful as ever!

Several talented musicians and singers stepped onto the makeshift stage to entertain the student body. The library was packed, and the music could be heard clearly throughout the room. First up, a band played several powerful Michael Jackson covers, including “Billy Jean” and a reimagined “Thriller.” Next up, a guitarist performed a folk song. This song was inspired by the prompt “ a song that tells a story.”

Colonel Gray is filled with such amazingly talented students! Do you have an artform that you could share? Poets, comedians, actors, musicians, and any other artists, are welcome to share their skills with other students, at the next Coffeehouse.

The younger grade levels are sadly underrepresented. We want to hear from you too, grade 10’s! At the very least, come cheer on your peers and enjoy the music and poetry at the next Coffeehouse!
